In one of the largest automotive recalls of the year, BMW is warning consumers that 241,000 of their sedans have faulty tail lights. Model years 2002 through 2005 3 Series sedans are being recalled in order for BMW to repair the issue.
The exact models include:
BMW 325I
BMW 325XI
BMW 330I
BMW 330XI
These vehicles were built between September 1, 2001 and March 1, 2005.
Three thousand warranty claims and a government
The USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service is alerting consumers that they suspect around 77 illnesses have been caused by ground turkey tainted with Salmonella. These illnesses have been reported in 26 states and occurred between March 1 and August 1, 2011. Michigan and Ohio had ten illnesses reported, nine were in Texas, seven in Illinois, six in California, and 5 in Pennsylvania. As of this moment, the USDA has not released an official recall and continues to urge people to take caution.
Ford is recalling approximately 1.1 million pickup trucks in one of the largest automotive recalls this year. The gas tanks on the affected models can fall off and cause fires.
Announced on August 1, 2011, the recall affects the 1997 through 2004 Ford F-150 models, certain 1997 through 1999 model year F-250 pickups, and 2002 through 2003 Lincoln Blackwood pickups. The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, or CPSC, has announced a new lower limit for lead in children’s products. While this is no guarantee that future recalls will not happen, it does set a better standard for manufacturing companies.
